In February, we held our second Annual Conference at the brand new Trumpington Community College. Over 100 guests joined us in celebrating our achievements from the past year, to learn about our focuses moving forward, and to gain new insights in the workshops available at the event.
Speakers included Robert Marshall, speaking passionately about Cambridge LaunchPad and how this will help raise the numbers of students interested in engineering – with an emphasis on encouraging girls into the sector and Stella Cockerill from Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough LEP speaking about how important these initiatives are.
The workshop lead by new Form the Future member Andy Rice proved to be hugely popular – showing the participants how to work with young people. Other workshops topics included IBCP lead by Ryan Kelsall from Impington Village College, and information about apprenticeships lead by Alistair Easterfield from the UTC.
Feedback from the attendees has been very positive, commenting on the enthusiasm from all who was there, and how engaging the speakers were.
