As our Mentoring programme enters its second year after a successful pilot, it is making a real difference to the lives of young people in our community. This year nearly 100 students from eight schools have been matched with mentors.

Mentors can provide the one-to-one support that helps students find a new sense of purpose, motivation and direction.

Mentors will meet their mentee at school once a month, on dates arranged in advance by the school.

Form the Future CIC has been awarded a grant of £4900 from the Dulverton Trust Fund (£2000), Microsoft Research Limited Community Fund (£2000) and Marshall Community First Fund (£900) to run a mentoring programme with at least 25 young people at risk of under-achieving and mentors from the Cambridge business community.

Mentors will undertake an enhanced DBS check and attend a training session before the mentoring starts. There’s lots of support and it’s very rewarding work.
